Lambie-Nairn creates new identity for Emmerdale
Our new brand identity and title sequence for ITV’s long-running soap Emmerdale launched on Monday the 30th of May at 7pm. We have also created new iconography, communications materials and merchandising for the show.
Sophie Lutman, creative director at Lambie-Nairn, says, ‘the changes to the brand are a reflection of the show’s diverse characters and increasingly intriguing storylines that reflect Emmerdale as a village of hidden depths and aspirational country living.’
We were appointed to the work following a three-way pitch in September 2010.
We wanted to challenge perceptions of Emmerdale, but at the same time, ensure what we created was true to the programme’s heritage.
Our creative inspiration came from the surprising narrative aspects of Emmerdale. What you see isn’t always what you get – stories unravel and secrets are revealed. Our solution reflects this idea, and invites viewers to take a look underneath the surface.
