Lambie-Nairn

Lambie-Nairn and Latam

Lambie-Nairn has strengthened its international footprint with the opening of three offices in Latin America. The new operations – in Bogotá, Colombia and Buenos Aires, Argentina respectively – followed swiftly by the opening of an office in Mexico City towards the end of Q4, will enable us  to work more closely with Telefónica, our key client in the region.

Christian Schroeder, CEO of Lambie-Nairn, explains, “Developing long-term partnerships with global companies requires an intimate understanding of local markets. We want to achieve a balance between adhering to cultural sensitivities whilst maintaining overall coherence of the brands we work with. Having teams on the ground in this important region allows us to work more closely with Telefónica on a day-to-day basis, and helps ensure the success of this unique programme.”

Lambie-Nairn’s Global Executive Director and Global Head of the Telefónica account Nicky Nicolls, together with Tim Simmons Creative Director in Madrid,  will be responsible for Lambie-Nairn’s new operations in Colombia, Argentina and Mexico. Lambie-Nairn’s expansion into Latin America further illustrates our significant recent growth, which has seen the launch of 6 offices outside  our London base.

In May 2009, Telefónica marked a new chapter in its history, announcing a holistic rebranding programme that will define the strategic roles of each one of the brands in its portfolio across the regions where they operate. In Spain and Latin America, the company will operate its commercial offering under the brand Movistar and O2 in Europe. The Telefónica brand becomes an institutional moniker.

Lambie-Nairn’s role with Movistar will be similar to the existing Brand Guardianship role  we have for O2.
