The Bigger Picture
When Telefónica UK asked us to design their 2012 sustainability report, they had something a little different in mind: not only would it be their first ever digital report, they also wanted us to hire two paid interns to produce the report themselves from our London office.
The two interns – Kyle and Patricia – were mentored by a Lambie-Nairn Design Director and Client Services Manager, and were given the opportunity to respond to the client brief with their own ideas and then present them to senior Telefónica clients.
Kerry Snelling, Corporate Responsibility and Stakeholder Communications Manager at Telefónica UK says, “This sustainability report is a great opportunity to showcase the skills and value that young people can offer. We were able to give two interns the opportunity to gain great work experience on a fantastic project with a well-known brand, putting their learnings into practice, and boosting their employability prospects.”
Dave, our design director, had this to say: “Through the combination of brave clients, bright and enthusiastic interns and our own expertise we’ve achieved a rare thing – an annual report that’s original, engaging and anything but boring.”
