NO CHALLENGE IS TOO BIG
The opportunity to design the identity of the boat and kit with which the Telefónica team would compete in the Volvo Ocean Race 2011–2012 is a once in a lifetime project – not only because the VOR is one of the most important round-the-world sailing events but also because it is an exceptional test of strength, endurance, perseverance and teamwork. Without a doubt, a competition tailored for Telefónica and a project tailored for Lambie-Nairn.
Since June 2010, Lambie-Nairn worked closely with Telefónica’s Sponsorship and Brand teams, as well as the sailing team, to develop the Team Telefónica brand.
The result is a consistent and impactful brand image across all touch-points; from the number one asset – the boat, to the team uniforms, the land and water gear, the official merchandising, and the dock hospitality suites. The project has finished, the boat has departed, and the only thing left is to win the Volvo Ocean Race.Download PDF
