The opportunity to design the identity of the boat and kit with which the Telefónica team would compete in the Volvo Ocean Race 2011–2012 is a once in a lifetime project – not only because the VOR is one of the most important round-the-world sailing events but also because it is an exceptional test of strength, endurance, perseverance and teamwork. Without a doubt, a competition tailored for Telefónica and a project tailored for Lambie-Nairn.
Since June 2010, Lambie-Nairn worked closely with Telefónica’s Sponsorship and Brand teams, as well as the sailing team, to develop the Team Telefónica brand.
The result is a consistent and impactful brand image across all touch-points; from the number one asset – the boat, to the team uniforms, the land and water gear, the official merchandising, and the dock hospitality suites.Download PDF
