The 2014 BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands ranking – the 9th edition of this study – marks our 6th year partnering with BrandZ to create and produce this report. Created by WPP and Millward Brown, the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands is an annual publication that draws on information taken from 2 million interviews about 10,000 brands across 30 countries.

Our design builds on the equity of last year’s report, maintaining the editorial look and feel. We use colourful icons, infographics, and bold typography to help showcase the content and make complex information feel digestible and engaging for the reader.  We also reflected social media trends by asking all the contributors to provide selfies instead of traditional portrait shots.

Our Creative Director, Sophie Lutman, says: “We used a bright colour palette and light-hearted visuals to keep metrics accessible and the vast volume of data in the report digestible, rather than daunting. We employed a close-crop photography style to visualise the different sectors and retained the magazine-style layout from previous years to allow readers to dip in and out of the report.”
