Andy Hayes,
General Manager

ABU DHABI (31 May 2009) Lambie-Nairn, a leading branding agency, strengthens its international footprint with the opening of a new office in Abu Dhabi. The new operation will enable the company to work more closely with its growing client base in the region.

Christian Schroeder, CEO of Lambie-Nairn explains, “It has been our intention to open an office in Abu Dhabi for some time as it is such an important business centre for the Middle East. With the global economy in flux, the need for companies to strengthen their brands has never been more relevant than it is today. The media industry is a key contributor to the region’s growth plans and Lambie-Nairn’s experience in bringing brands to life in today’s media-driven world, made this an obvious choice for us.”

Andy Hayes will lead the office as General Manager, having previously held the position of Senior Client Director in London. Hayes has a long and established history in branding spanning over 15 years.

Lambie-Nairn’s new office in Abu Dhabi’s media zone will join the likes of Abu Dhabi Media Company, BBC, CNN, Financial Times, and Rotana Studios. With the support of the Abu Dhabi government, twofour54 is quickly establishing itself as a centre of excellence for Arabic media creation where businesses can create world-class content in a creative, purpose built environment. The development will also provide training, funding and guidance to local companies and talent.

Lambie-Nairn can already count Abu Dhabi Media Company, Al Kass, BBC, Al Doha TV and Al Arabiya among its clients. Their expansion into Abu Dhabi further illustrates the company’s significant growth in the past 12 months including some significant hires and the opening of its Munich operations in May 2008.

Check out what the press has to say about this new venture.

In a highly competitive pitch process, Lambie-Nairn have come up top with Telefonica, the parent company of O2 and Movistar. We’ll be partnering with the company alongside Y&R and Landor on implementation and guardianship of both brands on a global basis.

Marking a new chapter in the Spanish company’s history, the two-year project will see the company operate exclusively under the Movistar and O2 brand names, while the historical name of Telefonica will now be used as an institutional label.

In the Spanish publication El Pais, the appointment has been cited as the most important in the history of marketing in Spain, based on Telefonica’s global reach. With 259 million customers, Telefonica is the third largest telecommunications operator in terms of market capitalisation, and first as a European integrated operator.

LONDON (20 March 2009) Lambie-Nairn, a leading branding and design consultancy, has strengthened its international operations with two significant new hires. Lisa Hill, formerly of Moving Brands, joins as Executive Client Director of its London headquarters, while Marina Wolny signs-on as Design Director of the company’s Munich operation.

As a member of the management team, Lisa Hill will be responsible for overseeing key client relationships and strengthening the company’s expanding client base. At Moving Brands, Hill directed programmes for global brands such as Nokia, Coca Cola, Vodafone and The Body Shop whilst leading client servicing teams in both London and Tokyo.

Launched in May 2008, Lambie-Nairn’s Munich operation welcomes Marina Wolny as Design Director. Previously at Landor Associates, Wolny brings a unique cross-cultural perspective to the agency, having led the creative output for programmes across the EMEA region in Dubai, Milan, Hamburg and London.

“These appointments are a good reflection of our ambition and growth potential,” notes Christian Schroeder, CEO of Lambie-Nairn, “and while no one is immune to the economic situation we now find ourselves in, the need for companies to strengthen their brands has never been more relevant than it is today. Lisa and Marina’s experience leading holistic programmes for world-class brands, combined with Lambie-Nairn’s expertise in bringing brands to life in an increasingly media-driven world, puts us in good stead for the future.”
